We believe that receiving an education empowers girls to take their life into their own hands. On average, a girl with 7 years of education will marry 4 years later and have 2.2 fewer children. One year of school increases a girl’s future wages by 10-20%. And reduces to the risk of contracting HIV and other preventative conditions.

OUR AIM: Is to have a positive impact on universal primary education by increasing the understanding and support for young girls who need our help driving change and creating opportunities for them to live fulfilled lives.

The Mackellar Girls Campus, High Resolves Team or Greater Education = Greater Equality (GEGE) are in the midst of creating a social network campaign to raise awareness and create hype around the inequality surrounding females and education. A short film/documentary will soon launch as a part of our online campaign!

To see this vision through we have partnered with Room to Read. Room to Read envision a world in which all children can pursue a quality education, reach their full potential and contribute to their community and the world.
To achieve this goal, they focus on two areas where we believe we can have the greatest impact: literacy and gender equality in education. They work in collaboration with communities and local governments across Asia and Africa to develop literacy skills and a habit of reading among primary school children, and support girls to complete secondary school with the life skills they’ll need to succeed in school and beyond.
