We, the Year 10 High Resolves leaders of Sydney Boys High School are working with High Resolves to undertake a project on bullying. Our project focuses on making people aware that bullying is still a real problem both inside and outside of school, and that there are organisations and people who can help. To do this, we plan on organising pillow fights to draw people's attention, inform them about the issue and get them to show their support by helping to build a Lego mural with our message :"Nice Guys Finish First (Bullies finish last)"

Tim Ribberink, a Dutch student who committed suicide in late 2012, left a suicide note to his parents which was published in newspapers worldwide. "Dear Mum and Dad, All my life I have been ridiculed, abused, bullied and excluded. You guys are fantastic. I hope you’re not angry. Until we meet again, Tim." Tim appeared to be emotionally and physically health before he committed suicide. Depression, anxiety disorders and other mental illnesses can be a real consequence of being bullied. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/11/09/tim-ribberink-suicide-note_n_2103752.html 3 years ago
